Coding Katas
Presented by Adrian O'Sullivan
Summary
Coding 'katas' are exercises which help developers improve their
coding skills. The term 'kata' derives from the martial arts practice
and the concept is now being applied widely in the software industry.
Kata programming helps developers master skills such as Test Driven
Development, Pair Programming and Refactoring. In this talk, I will
give an overview of how to run a kata, what it can teach you, and
lessons learned from 9 months of running TDD coding katas at the
Deutsche Bank Global Technology Center in Cary, NC.
