Hi,

I have started trying to install Roller <http://roller.apache.org/>. Does
anyone on this list have much experience with it? Have any reports, good or bad?

My effort to get Roller running is giving me a good education, as I probably
should have expected. Here is the top of today's lesson:
Jan 3, 2013 4:46:03 PM org.apache.catalina.startup.HostConfig deployWAR
INFO: Deploying web application archive r.war
Roller Weblogger: No custom properties file found in classpath
Even though I've got my [CATALINA_HOME]/common/lib/roller-custom.properties

If I recall correctly, the first Roller author named David Johnson works (or
worked) for SAS. So I might expect that David Johnson or some of the other
committers might be familiar in TriJUG. But I do not recognize any names I
know, in the list of committers.

Here are some of my parameters:

Roller version: roller-weblogger-5.0.1-tomcat
Server version: Apache Tomcat/5.5.23
Server built: Apr 11 2012 01:37:24
Server number: 5.5.23.0
OS Name: Linux
OS Version: 2.6.32.28-xenU
JVM Version: 1.6.0-b09
DB: PostgreSQL 8.4.2
mailserver: none

Thank you,

I'm somewhat familiar with Roller. I think you need to place the
roller-custom.properties file in either <tomcat>/lib or <tomcat>/shared/lib.
